About

If you have stumbled upon my site, I hope it is because you are looking for a place where you can stop for a moment and be enriched with conversation about the things that really matter in life.

Like  all of us, I have a story to tell. I am the wife of one wonderful husband, the mother of four awesome children, the mother in law of two incredible son in laws, and the grandmother of 15 (soon to be 16) grandchildren. I am fortunate enough to work from home helping my husband with his business.  Prior to working with my husband I worked as a manager in a cooperative organization for 18 years. I have a degree in finance and some say a knack for managing things well. Those people I keep far from my home office as I am certain that with one look at the piles on my desk their kind opinion of me may be affected.

I have been blessed with many opportunities throughout my life. Especially in light of my  humble beginnings.   Growing up in a broken home and living much of the first  20  plus years  of my life in the “poverty zone” brought with it some personal challenges that took years to overcome.   Poverty spanned the whole of my existence.  There was the physical side of poverty – lack of money and resources – not always knowing where the next meal was coming from, or even if I would have some place to sleep at night.  And then there was the spiritual side of poverty – an emptiness of the soul that I could not fill.  I was so empty inside that I would try almost anything to fill the void.  The journey took me down many roads  – but none could fill the void in my heart. That was until one day......

One day someone told me “God so loved the world that  He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16.  And on that day I took all my emptiness and gave it to Him.  I asked Him to forgive me for trying to fill the void on my own. I invited His Son into my life and I was never the same. That does not mean I didn’t have things to still work out.  My life was a mess.  But God was with me through it all and He has made something beautiful out of my life.

It is my prayer that this blog will be an encouragement to you on your journey in life.  And that maybe during that journey you will come to know the Savior.

Blessings to you.
